President Trump Says Don’t Repeat While He Proposes To Repeat

7 min readFeb 19, 2025

President Donald Trump justifies the idea of America taking ownership of Gaza based on the logic of trying something new or different, as opposed to repeating what already has not worked. Unfortunately for President Trump, he apparently doesn’t realize that America taking ownership of Gaza is not new it would be a repeat of what already has not worked, it would be a repeat of what will never work.

Putting aside the fact that there is only one legal and ethical way America could take ownership of Gaza, America would have to be granted ownership by the same authority that granted the state of Israel ownership of its territory, which was not based on the authority of the United States of America, it was based on the authority of the international organization created to achieve international cooperation, maintain international peace and security, and develop friendly relations among all the world’s countries the United Nations (UN). President Trump’s idea that America taking ownership of Gaza is something new is akin to saying that old wine in a new bottle is new wine. In fact, President Trump’s supposedly new idea of taking ownership of Gaza is a repeat of the original idea of taking ownership of the land where Palestinians live, evacuating them so others may live on the evacuated land.
